The 2023 Peymouton is a lovely Saint-Émilion to drink over the near and medium term. It offers pretty, forward fruit in a soft, juicy style that is quite appealing. Hints of tobacco, cedar, leather and spice meld into a core of supple, red-toned fruit in this charming 2023. It is an especially open wine for a Saint-Émilion from the Saint Christophe des Bardes sector, and a very fine value. Drinking window: 2025-2038.
