Made from merlot (80%) and cabernets (20%) and aged 12 months in oak, this lovely blend is holding its character and quality well, 10 years on. As one would expect, some tertiary notes are peeking through the well-focused fruit, but the flavour profile remains well layered and attractive. The balance of solid fruit and fresh acid is very good, and the tannins are resolved. This harmonious wine should hold at this plateau for another three or four years, at least. [Drink through 2025+.]
