Product Details

The Jonquères d'Oriola family has been producing wines since 1485 in the Roussillon region. The 13th century Château de Corneilla is the family's home, and all of the wines are produced in its cellars. Grapes for Cavalcade are handpicked and traditionally fermented at low temperatures, then aged for 12 months in 500L French oak barrels. Rosemary George MW: A little colour development. Some spicy fruit on the nose. A lighter palate, quite refreshing red fruit. Medium-weight with elegant freshness. Andy Howard MW: Loads of intense dark fruit on the palate. Soft and ripe yet retains good acidity and an appealing mineral edge on the finish. Will age very well. Classy, a great advert for named Roussillon villages. Frederic Marti: Bright, engaging, floral and compact with a savoury palate and long, lifted finish. Great wine, really well made. Drinking window: 2022-2032.
