Led by 63 percent chardonnay with (37) pinot noir for something mature, evolved and fully into secondary territory. Aromatic and lovely, with fresh chanterelle mushroom, inclusive of the tell-tale scent of a fresh cut apricot. Though the wine has evolved the acidity does well to maintain energy and keep the dream alive. Yes it is simple, yet crisp and the sort of sparkling scintillant given energy and stimulation by those acids. Crunchy stuff, apples everywhere, though admittedly not the most complex iteration (or vintage) of itself.
