Flinty chardonnay, part reduction and part sulphide captured with aeration as the friend to incite release and reveal. What comes is quality Marlborough fruit and yet the style is so very typical and expected. Made by Ben Glover who finds great fruit is his chardonnay, from citrus (lemon and grapefruit) to orchard (apple namely) but that struck stone really ties it all together. Value is pretty good here. Drink 2023-2026. Tasted August 2023.
