Product Details

The 2021 Moschofilero (i.e., the Mantinia) is unoaked. It comes in with 2.6 grams of residual sugar, 6.1 grams of total acidity and 12.9% alcohol. This bottling uses only the Asprofilero and Xanthofilero clones, which are described as imparting citrus and white flower aromas while integrating the bracing acidity. This wine arrived a bit late this season, but it is certainly another fine offering. Classy Moschofilero, which is what this winery produces, is always enticing and typically a nice value too. Crisp, ripe, aromatic and full of flavor, this is built to allow the fruit to dance over the palate. It tastes great and is hard to resist right now. That doesn't mean it can't age, but aging this very long is not really the point (although it has been proven to me that they can hold well for several years). It could use a bit more energy, though. Drink date: 2022-2026.
