The 2019 Barbaresco Pajoré is a powerful, somber wine. Dried herbs, tobacco, cedar and scorched earth give the Pajoré its decidedly savory, inward personality. Fruit is very much compacted by the tannins at this stage. Perhaps time will help. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for this bottling. Pajoré is one of the great sites in Barbaresco. Socré's 2019 doesn't quite capture all of its pedigree. Drinking window: 2024-2034.
