Riesling Federspiel Ried Loibenberg 2023

The 2023 Riesling Loibenberg Federspiel grows on the higher reaches of the warm Loibenberg, between 350 and 400 meters of altitude. Sometimes, I think I can smell texture when all the fruit seems to smell of its peel: passion fruit, pear skin and citrus zest. The palate is rounder, glowing with an inner ripeness that drips with apricot juice, but it is framed with tangerine freshness and linearity that gives this an immensely juicy balance. Lovely, taut and tight. So clean-cut and fresh. (Bone-dry). Drinking window: 2028-2053.
