A 100 percent pinot noir from the Lakeview Wine Co. with acidity that exceeds sugars to make this feel like a full and substantial Blanc de Noirs. Autolytic and gingered, with spices running amok, of cardamom and fennel seed, other masala powders that send this into the arena of the exotic. Seems like the estate is taking their sparkling wine program quite seriously and the cool 2019 vintage is close to ideal for these effects to come forward and into fruition. Maturing and needing to be consumed sooner rather than later. Drink [now through] 2025. Tasted November 2024.
