A big, beefy red, this is notable for the cherry, plum, mineral, tobacco, spice and eucalyptus flavors. Turns more elegant as this evolves on the palate, yet with abundant detailed tannins and vibrant acidity. Though austere now, this shows fine balance, with plenty of warmth and spice.
