Lighthall delivers one of the more reductive, gun smoke flinty and white peppery chardonnays for 2020 out of a vintage from which ripeness was not hard to find. You get the warmth and also the intensity of a wine just aching to burst out. Should not be such a far away conclusion because the substantial fruit is all mixed up into multiple textures and acids will not keep these things down. Even if not perfectly clean it's hard to complain about anything at all because everything is involved and seems to be in the right place. Should be singing by summertime, in the city and the County. Drink 2023-2026. Tasted March 2023.
