This is a lovely, floral and jammy gamay - almost succulent, and so easy to drink. The nose blooms with sweet raspberry/black cherry, perfumed peony florality and a dusting of pepper. Julienas makes somewhat bigger, broader wines among the Beaujolais cru villages, this fits the mold, but is not dense and highly structured. It is about charm and ease and generosity. It is a touch sweet and warm, the tannins are quite soft; the length is excellent. Chill lightly. Tasted July 2025
