This excellent Volnay 1er cru marries the fine red berry and cherry aromas we expect from this appellation. Very focused on the cool, medium-bodied palate, where the elegantly dry tannins remind me a lot of wines from the better vintages of the 1990s. Long, fine-grained and stony finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2026. [This has the potential to see the early 2040s.]
