The Vaudésir climat is shaped like an amphitheatre, with half the vines facing south and half southwest, creating subtle differences in ripening periods for the grapes grown there. This gives additional complexity and nuance to the final blends. The limestone soils also contain a higher percentage of clay, imparting balance and a distinct mineral character. It all adds up to a floral wine with tangy citrus notes that will cellar into the mid-to-late 2030s.
