Château Gaillard has been owned by Sébastien Gutty since 1997 and produces cru wines from Morgon, Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, as well as this Beaujolais-Villages. Vine age averages 60 years, not including some century-old vines. This wine is approachable and ripe, with blackcurrant, berry, savoury herbs and earth. Lithe enough to sip, it has the structure for grilled foods, be they meat, salmon or veggie.
